Roosters Remembers - The Veterans Video Project

premiered May 22, 2012

The Roosters Remembers: The Veterans Video Project was shot Veterans Day (11/11/11) to honor veterans from World War II to the Cold War by preserving their compelling and heartfelt stories for future generations. The event provided the opportunity to meet some of the veterans featured and view the video.

The project was conceived to support the efforts of the Mountain Post Historical Association to build the Mountain Post Historical Center museum at Fort Carson.

About the Veterans Video Project – The number of veterans, especially from World War II, is diminishing rapidly. The time sensitive mission of Roosters and The Mountain Post Historical Association was to reach out to these veterans and preserve their stories for future generations. Veterans from the Colorado Springs area shared their stories on a video produced by Steve Mack of Impact Video Production. In addition to preserving the stories, edited portions of the interviews were compiled into a 50-minute video. Roosters salutes our veterans with this documentary program.
